Amidst promotions, Humayun Saeed celebrates his birthday in Punjab!

Humayun Saeed is not only loved by his fans but he is quite a popular personality in the industry. His kind hearted nature has everyone adoring the star. So for his birthday, every year his lovely wife Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz make it a point to gather family and friends to celebrate the stars birthday with a bang. But this year he is in Lahore for the promotion of his movie Punjab Nahi Jaungi, therefore his birthday stop this year had to be Punjab. Not everyone was in the city to wish him personally, but that didn't stop Samina from making sure he still had a ball of a time.

So how did he celebrate his birthday? Well let's recap a bit,
With Mehwish Hayat and Urwa Hocane also busy doing promotions of the same movie, it was very sweet to see him cut the cake with the two stunners at a bloggers meet up in the city for the release of the song 24/7 Lak Hilna.
His friend and director of the film, Nadeem Baig, also joined in for the celebrations, who otherwise hadn't been present in any of the promotional activities, except for the song meet up which was on the same day as the birthday!
So with the bloggers meet up being quite a hit, the celebrations took place at a friends house, which was attended by big names like Farhan Saeed and Mawra Hocane.
But what made the night even more fun was Humayun Saeed, Farhan Saeed and Mehwish Hayat singing their hearts out.

Team 'Parchi' heads off to Thailand for post-production after the first spell

Parchi, an all out comedy, is being prepped up to enthrall the audience this fall. The crew of the film has flown off to Thailand to finish off the work on the first half of the film and according to co-producer Imran Kazmi, the first half of the film looks promising enough.
“We're going by the hashtag #ParchiWillBlowYourMind, and the way the first half of the movie is looking, we're certain it will,” mentioned Imran.
Produced under the banner of Imran’s IRK Films, they’ve managed to role in Mitesh Soni of Yash Raj Films, yet again, for editing. And just like Janaan, the final outlook is going in with great speed and without any glitches.
Speaking with HIP exclusively, Mitesh observed, “The way Azfar Jafri (director) has gone on about the direction, the work has become a piece of cake for me and the team to edit. Azfar has delivered excellently with what he wanted on screen and the way the Pakistani industry looks enroute revival, it will definitely come at par with Bollywood soon.”
“Mitesh's experience is amazing. The family has been into post production work for long now and the professionalism and industrial ethics Mitesh brings to the table, are an asset for the film. We've seen the first half and we're now working on the trailer and we're certain the audience will love it just as much as we do,” Kazmi said of collaborating with the acclaimed mainstream, Bollywood editor.
According to Mitesh, “The kind of reception I've received here since Janaan, has been wonderful. I'd say that this cross border talent exchange is definitely working for me because I'm dealing with entirely new ideas and creative minds. And I've gelled in well with the team here, which for me is more important than anything as it has given me the liberty to work on the film like you want to and of course to give it my best shot.”
The second spell of Parchi will begin its shooting from the first week of August. Only a few scenes and relative songs for the movie are to be shot. According to Imran, we can expect the trailer to come out mid-September, while the film is looking for a December release as he believes that two/three major films coming out together in a single month, creating a high buzz, which definitely benefits all the films releasing.
Parchi revolves around a bunch of friends who turn to an influential and dominating woman once in deep trouble. Starring Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman Khan, Usman Mukhtar and Ahmed Ali, the film also introduced 11 debutants and promises a roller coaster ride!

Maya Ali gets emotional over wrapping shoot for 'Teefa in Trouble'

Maya Ali is gearing up to step in to the world of movies with Teefa in Troubleopposite the multi-talented rockstar, Ali Zafar. The film is being directed by Ahsan Rahim, who has given us some memorable music videos and commercials. The team had finished shooting in Lahore and headed towards Poland, and the shooting spell there has also wrapped up. To honor this accomplishment, Maya Ali took to her social media page and decided to share a very heartfelt post.

Making a movie is one tough business, as one is away from their family and friends for long periods, but if the entire unit is sweet, then the film crew becomes your second family and that is exactly how Maya felt,
"So every journey has to come to an end and that's how this Teefa in Trouble has ended. What a beautiful journey it has been, with lots of U turns, its been a roller coaster ride and this was the only journey where I did not cry because of the production and team."
From thanking the makeup artist Rajan KhoKaro, stylist Faraz Sheikh, the DOP Zain Haleem, assistant director Moiz Zaidi to the entire cast including Javed Sheikh, Fia Khan, Faisal Qureshi amongst others, it was her thoughts on Ahsan Rahim and Ali Zafar that caught our attention.
Having appeared in plays like Mann MayalMera Naam Yousaf HaiSanam to name a few, stepping into movies was a whole new world for Maya as she wrote,
"I never thought while reading the script that I'd do it but of course the confidence Sir Ahsan had in me, made it happen. He is the best, you'll get to know that when you will watch Teefa in Trouble. Thank you Sir Ahsan, for believing in me."
The star also shared insights on Ali Zafar's personality on set,
"He made everything so easy for me, I never felt any ego coming from him. He was not just good with me but with the whole crew, from the camera man to the chai wala, he was just so friendly with everyone and that's how I know he became a star."
Now isn't that sweet guys, with Maya Ali showering praises for the team, we look forward to watching Teefa in Trouble soon, as it promises to be an action packed movie streaked with comedy and of course, two leads we adore.

Promotions for 'Na Maloom Afraad 2' to be bigger and better than before

We have two major films coming out on Eid-ul-Azha, and mind you, we're every bit excited for both Na Maloom Afraad 2 and Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Promotions for PNJ have kick started in Punjab, and Na Maloom Afraad 2 is still working with its dubbing, but no public appearances have been made by the cast or the team as yet.
Wondering, what's taking NMA 2, HIP got in touch with the makers of the film to know when we can expect promotions for the film to begin, because the competition is on it already. Here's what they had to say,
"Na Maloom Afraad was the first ever Pakistani film to launch on-ground promotional activities and then the rest followed suit. We're waiting for just the right time and then we'll launch our promotional campaign for Na Maloom Afraad 2 with the same zeal and zest, perhaps more than Na Maloom Afraad initially." Nabeel Qureshi told us.
"Apart from making public appearances and visiting cinemas, universities etc, we're also planning a few groundbreaking activities for the promotions of Na Maloom Afraad 2, the likes of which haven't been seen before. We launched our trailer in an entirely different way this time, and the rest followed suit, and we'll do the same for the promotions. We just want the time to be right to begin with our campaign." the producer, Fizza Ali Meerza answered.
We also reached out to the man of the hour, Fahad Mustafa, to know his plans regarding the promotions of the film. According to Fahad,
"Dubbing this time has been very tough and I'm flying off for a vacation tomorrow, and so we'll begin promoting the film as soon as I am back. That said, I feel we've always relied on word of mouth and I've seen the film and I'm very hopeful. But yes, I want both the releases (NMA 2 and PNJ) to do well. Humayun believes in healthy competition and so do I."
Where Punjab Nahi Jaungi has us hooked with its trailers and teasers, Na Maloom Afraad is on par as well, creating quite a stir with its posters. The latest poster of the film was released yesterday and trust us, its hilarious, just by the looks of it as well. Let's hope the film does great and makes a major mark like its predecessor.

Team 'Chein Aye Na' celebrate Nadeem Baig's Golden Jubilee in the industry!

Alamdar Khan to star in Hamza Ali Abbasi's 'Parwaaz Hay Junoon'

Parwaaz Hay Junoon, the film industry's tribute to the daring Pakistan Air Force, is well underway. An MD Production and the directorial debut of the Mann Mayal and Diyar-e-Dil famed television director, Haseeb Hassan, Parwaaz Hay Junoon is one movie that already has high hopes and tall expectations attached to it.
The film team, with its complete cast and crew has shot in rather extreme conditions in the northern areas of Pakistan, just to bring out the true feel of the film to the viewers. But that's not it. Parwaaz Hay Junoon, will focus on exploring and showing to the public, the lives of the Airforce soldiers and the rigorous training, trials and tribulations each one of them goes through for the sake of this country.
HIP got in touch with Alamdar Khan, who is playing a vital role in the film, to get to know the specifics of the film.
"There are two tracks in the movie, once packed with all the aerial action and the other focusing on the academics of the Airforce soldiers. I belong to the action pack, playing Hamza's major support system." Alamdar told HIP.
"We're a group of best friends including Hamza, Shaz Khan, Saad Qazi, Arsalan Butt. We're the major group that will be dealing with all the air-borne action in the film. My track focuses on the life of a patriot, passionate air force soldier. " Alamdar added.
Kubra Khan is being paired opposite Shaz Khan in Parwaaz Hay Junoon, while Hania Amir will be playing Hamza Ali Abbasi's love interest. Sadly Alamdar hasn't had the chance to romance onscreen for the film, but nevertheless the Dance Kahaani star has a meaty role he can boast off of with the film.
According to Alamdar, who himself has been an ex-Pakistan Airforce officer, shooting for the film has been a rather nostalgic experience, as he had the chance to reconnect with all his seniors, juniors and his course mates.
Khan also confesses to having major expectations from the movie. Parwaaz Hay Junoon is a major project that is being backed by not only the Air force but also MD Productions and HUM TV, some of the biggest entertainment giants in Pakistan.
As far as we know, Parwaaz Hay Junoon might also feature a track recorded specially by Alamdar Khan, as a background score. Atif Aslam and Shuja Haider have also been working together to create some great scores and music.
On the work front, Alamdar is busy with Parwaaz Hay Junoon. The actor/dance/singer/model is also awaiting the release of his Hollywood project that was shot in collaboration with MD Productions and HBO. Titled 'Sedare', the film has been directed by Canada based director Adnan Ahmed and stars Robin Dunn, Alamdar Khan, Juggun Kazim and Ali Kazmi in the lead roles. The film focuses on a zombie apocalypse in Pakistan, and is scheduled for a release later in the year.
As for Parwaaz Hay Junoon, the film is is focused on a December release for now, with it's trailer/teaser releasing expected on either the Defence Day or Airforce Day, the 7th of September, honoring the services rendered to the country by the best Air Force in the world.

Punjab Nahi Jaungi music is exceptionally beautiful and heart touching

The first song in the album 'Ae Dil', sung by Jonita and Shiraz Uppal is a slow love track that's simple yet breathtakingly beautiful. The music arrangement is soothing and when coupled with the melodious vocals of Jonita and Shiraz, it surely gives you goosebumps. The beauty of this song in its simplicity, there hasn't been any over the top experimentation with this song.

'Mujhay Raanjha Bana Do' is another beautiful track from the movie. The opening sequence of this one is just so melodious and Shiraz Uppal's voice shines through with a potent presence. It's a sad song and hits right in the feels with its music, its poignant lyrics and Uppal's painfully, melodious voice. You'll fall in love with Mujhay Raanjha Bana Do for its soulful music and heartfelt lyrics.
'Raunaq e Aashiqui', is again a very melodious and beautiful track. Jonita seems a great asset for the music industry locally and internationally, because this woman has a voice that's strong yet sounds extremely beautiful and sultry, even if she's singing in low key notes. Raunaq e Aashiqui awakens every emotion a woman feels in her heart when she's in love. Its beautiful and probably one of the best songs Jonita has sung so far.

Ahmed Ali's 'Party' is a fun song with catchy beats. It's been sung by Ahmed Ali Butt and you'll definitely like the beats, if not the lyrics. This particular song is fun but with rap that's kind of corny. But since the entire album is just so good, this one particular song doesn't matter much. It sounds like a filler and just there for the sake of it.

'24/7 Lak Hilna', this is another one of the amazing songs, the album for Punjab Nahi Jaungi has delivered. The opening sequence is nostalgic playing on one of the old classics but it's from here the song transitions into a full on rocking dance number that we absolutely love. No, its not a wedding song, but we can see that with the amazing dance beats its delivering, 24/7 is going to become the next wedding number right away. Meesha Shafi and Sahir Ali Bhagga have sung this song to perfection, with Meesha's loud and clear vocals coming out straight and tickling that dance bone in you.
'Tere Naal Naal', is our newest favorite. The video came out yesterday and we instantly fell in love. Tere Naal Naal is beautiful, with a capital B! The music, the lyrics, the vocals, each and every aspect of this song stands out on its own to make it extremely pleasing to the ears. The tunes are blissfully soothing, the lyrics come straight at the heart and Shafqat Amanat Ali's voice makes you close your eyes, just to enjoy the beauty of this song.
Our verdict:

Punjab Nahi Jaungi's music is exceptionally beautiful! We love it and we're certain you, yourself, will not be able to help falling in love with the simple album with an extremely amazing collection of songs. Shani Arshad has outdone himself and we're extremely proud of the PNJteam for having come up with this melodious album, each song sung to perfection and lyrics that touch the heart.

'Punjab Nahi Jaungi' trailer makes us want to say, “Shut up and take my money!”

KARACHI:
The makers of Pakistani cinema’s highest grossing film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani are back with another potentially successful film, Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Directed by Nadeem Beyg, the film stars Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Urwa Hocane and Ahmed Ali Butt. The trailer of the film was launched in a ceremony on July 5 and boy, does it promise to be a full-on entertainer.

The trailer begins with Saeed’s voice in the background, saying, “Karachi ki larkiyan, you don’t know. Dimag mehdood, taleem zyada.” From then onward, the trailer takes us through a journey of a love triangle, with a backdrop of Punjab and Punjabi culture.
Saeed plays a Faisalabadi feudal, who falls in love with Hayat’s character while she is already in an affair with someone else. What ensues is a love triangle and heartbreak amidst weddings and much more. While the film’s poster, released yesterday, was disappointing, the trailer reminded us of a mix between Bollywood flicks Jab We Met and Namastay London. However, that, by no means, is a criticism.

The Punjab Nahi Jaungi trailer lays it all out for us to judge, and yet leaves us wanting more. As Beyg already proved, he can deliver a satisfying, entertaining cinematic experience and we have even more expectations from his upcoming venture than before.
I always say one has to end a trailer with a bang so that it makes the viewers want to take out their wallet right there and say, “Shut up and take my money!” Punjab Nahi Jaungi does exactly, that with a soon-to-be-popular dialogue, “Muhabbat me aurat se koi jeeta nahi hai, aur nafrat me aurat ko koi hara nahi saka.”

The much-anticipated film releases on Eidul Azha. Looks like Nabeel Qureshi’s Na Maloom Afraad 2 will have some tough competition this time around.

Ali Zafar is slaying hearts by doing unbelievable stunts for 'Teefa In Trouble'

Ali Zafar has been seen filming a diversity of action packed, often death defying stunts for his much-awaited Pakistani debut film, Teefa In Trouble, directed by Ahsan Rahim, co-starring Maya Ali.

What’s the most attention-grabbing part about it? The actor has refused to allow a stunt double and has been training hard to bring the action charged film to life – that too in a never-seen-before kind of way, especially for Lollywood.

The film’s director, Ahsan Rahim confessed, “It is a truly nerve racking situation to know that your irreplaceable lead is about to risk his safety for a scene but that’s Ali’s dedication to his role and commitment to delivering a true action packed scene, as that is ultimately what the movie demands.” Rahim further added, “I don’t think I know any other actor here willing to go to those lengths as most of the work is done by doubles. Of course, the retakes on set do become a cause for the occasional anxiety of actually watching him do those crazy stunts… again and again!”
In this specific sequence of images released, Zafar is seen crashing through an open window landing right on to a table, forcing it to break under the impact of his dive.

The actor has had to change his routine, diet and workout to be able to do multiple stunts throughout the movie. With plans of releasing later this year, audiences can expect to witness Ali Zafar in action packed glory complete with daring exploits and some incredible fight scenes.
