Questions are being raised about Parwaaz Hai Junoon’s promotional strategy!

Hamza Ali Abbasi has a passionate and quite visible following on social media. This is a positive when the fans are singing his praise. It must also help in his film promotions etc. However, when things are not according to their liking, they also get their voices heard. This seems to be the case with Parwaaz Hai Junoon’s promotion as well.

One of the most followed fan pages of Hamza Ali Abbasi (by the same name) displayed their annoyance about the lack of cohesion and clarity about the promotion of the upcoming film. They are angry at the promotional team for not posting about promotional events and not doing their jobs properly. Others also joined and the cast also came in for criticism for sharing personal photo shoots and statuses but not posting about the film.

Fans, who seem quite dedicated and passionate blamed the promotional team for the problems. They claimed that they had to look for material for hours, before they could get anything in their hand. With the film close, will this negative publicity (on the lack of publicity) damage the film’s returns? It faces tough competition from Load Wedding and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which by the way are doing a fantabulous job with their promotional strategies.

We can't help but fall in love with 'Thaam Lo' from 'Parwaaz Hai Junoon'

The second track from much-anticipated air force drama Parwaaz Hai Junoon is out and well, we are in love with it.

Thaam Lo, sung by our very own Atif Aslam, has a beautiful, soft melody with stunning visuals. The song focuses on the relationship between Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir and Shaz Khan and Kubra Khan.

Thaam Lo is penned by Shakeel Sohail and composed by Azaan Sami Khan.

While we see some strong chemistry between the two couples, (we’re totally shipping Hamza, Hania together), we also see Ahad Raza Mir possibly developing feelings for Hania, despite the taunting remarks he makes about her in the film’s first song Bhulleya.

Atif’s soothing voice complements the theme of the song and honestly, we can’t think of a better person to croon such romantic lyrics.

 Parwaaz Hai Junoon is produced by Momina and Duraid Films and HUM Films in association with Pakistan Air force.

The film also stars Syed Shafaat Ali, Adnan Jaffer, Sikandar Vincent, Rachel Viccaji, Mustafa Changezi and Sabeena Syed. It features special appearances by Marina Khan, Asif Raza Mir, Hina Bayat, Shamoon Abbasi, Farhan Ali Agha and Rasheed Naz. It is slated to release on Eidul Azha.

'Parwaaz Hai Junoon' release postponed to Eidul Azha

KARACHI: The release of Momina and Duraid Films’ much awaited and multi-starrer film Parwaaz Hai Junoon (PHJ) has been postponed, keeping in view the broader interest of the industry and plethora of films releasing this Eidul Fitr, stated a press release.

Explaining the move regarding the postponement of the movie, producer of PHJ Momina Duraid said, “There are six films releasing this Eid and currently our industry is not strong enough to support the release of so many films together. It is indeed a reason of concern for all the producers as it will be difficult for the films to break even if released together, considering the number of screens and shows available.”

She further added that in the broader interest of the industry her firm has decided to pull out from the Eid race. “We strongly feel that this is the right thing to do in the current scenario and as members of the fraternity, we need to put aside personal agendas and support each other in order to achieve the greater goal,” stated Momina.

Based on Pakistan Air Force, the Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Kubra Khan and Ahad Raza Mir-starrer will now be released on Eidul Azha 2018 worldwide.

'Parwaaz Hai Junoon' teaser gives major 'Top Gun' vibes

KARACHI: Amid a plethora of film teasers releasing lately such as Azaadi, 7 Din Mohabbat In and many others, another one makes an entry. The teaser of the much-awaited, multi-starrer film Parwaaz Hai Junoon was just launched and it’s bound to make you feel patriotic. And who needs Top Gun’s Tom Cruise when you’ve got Hamza Ali Abbasi in the lead mixed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Major Ram Main Hoon Na-esque entrance.

Paying tribute to the Pakistan Air Force, the clip begins with pilots preparing themselves to take on an incoming mission. Control rooms and fighter jets flying fiercely in the sky prove that the film will have a lot of action in it – albeit airborne.

The casually-controversial Hamza appears on screen, looking like the boss he is, as he strikes another fighter jet. Addressing his co-star from the film, Shaz Khan, Hamza says, “Aik fighter pilot ki zindagi mein speed hi sab se important cheez hai (The most important thing in a fighter pilot’s life is speed).” Further making a powerful statement that there is no thrill without speed.

Landing back on the ground, the duo celebrate their victory in true military fashion while the Pakistan flag soars high – giving goosebumps of patriotism to the viewers.

The rest of the cast which includes names such as Hania Aamir, Kubra Khan and Ahad Raza Mir didn’t make it to this teaser, but we’re hoping that the best has been saved for the last and will only be released in the trailer.

The film is penned by ace-writer Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Haseeb Hassan under the banner of Momina Duraid productions. Parwaaz Hai Junoon is expected to hit theatres on Eidul Fitr along with Mahira Khan’s 7 Din Mohabbat In. Are we also sensing a bit of a competition here?

Alamdar Khan to star in Hamza Ali Abbasi's 'Parwaaz Hay Junoon'

Parwaaz Hay Junoon, the film industry's tribute to the daring Pakistan Air Force, is well underway. An MD Production and the directorial debut of the Mann Mayal and Diyar-e-Dil famed television director, Haseeb Hassan, Parwaaz Hay Junoon is one movie that already has high hopes and tall expectations attached to it.

The film team, with its complete cast and crew has shot in rather extreme conditions in the northern areas of Pakistan, just to bring out the true feel of the film to the viewers. But that's not it. Parwaaz Hay Junoon, will focus on exploring and showing to the public, the lives of the Airforce soldiers and the rigorous training, trials and tribulations each one of them goes through for the sake of this country.

HIP got in touch with Alamdar Khan, who is playing a vital role in the film, to get to know the specifics of the film.

"There are two tracks in the movie, once packed with all the aerial action and the other focusing on the academics of the Airforce soldiers. I belong to the action pack, playing Hamza's major support system." Alamdar told HIP.

"We're a group of best friends including Hamza, Shaz Khan, Saad Qazi, Arsalan Butt. We're the major group that will be dealing with all the air-borne action in the film. My track focuses on the life of a patriot, passionate air force soldier. " Alamdar added.

Kubra Khan is being paired opposite Shaz Khan in Parwaaz Hay Junoon, while Hania Amir will be playing Hamza Ali Abbasi's love interest. Sadly Alamdar hasn't had the chance to romance onscreen for the film, but nevertheless the Dance Kahaani star has a meaty role he can boast off of with the film.

According to Alamdar, who himself has been an ex-Pakistan Airforce officer, shooting for the film has been a rather nostalgic experience, as he had the chance to reconnect with all his seniors, juniors and his course mates.

Khan also confesses to having major expectations from the movie. Parwaaz Hay Junoon is a major project that is being backed by not only the Air force but also MD Productions and HUM TV, some of the biggest entertainment giants in Pakistan.

As far as we know, Parwaaz Hay Junoon might also feature a track recorded specially by Alamdar Khan, as a background score. Atif Aslam and Shuja Haider have also been working together to create some great scores and music.

On the work front, Alamdar is busy with Parwaaz Hay Junoon. The actor/dance/singer/model is also awaiting the release of his Hollywood project that was shot in collaboration with MD Productions and HBO. Titled 'Sedare', the film has been directed by Canada based director Adnan Ahmed and stars Robin Dunn, Alamdar Khan, Juggun Kazim and Ali Kazmi in the lead roles. The film focuses on a zombie apocalypse in Pakistan, and is scheduled for a release later in the year.

As for Parwaaz Hay Junoon, the film is is focused on a December release for now, with it's trailer/teaser releasing expected on either the Defence Day or Airforce Day, the 7th of September, honoring the services rendered to the country by the best Air Force in the world.

Shaz Khan will play a pilot in Parwaaz Hai Junoon

Shaz Khan is joining Hamza Ali Abbasi for upcoming film Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

And guess what? He'll be flying planes in the film. Images got in touch with the Moor actor, who revealed his character in the film.

"I play the character of a high level F-16 pilot who is best friends with Hamza's character," he says.

He claims he took on this role because "it was too juicy to not take considering my nana was an air commodore and even my mamu is an air commodore and one of the top F-16 pilots of his generation."

"In fact, one of the first things I ever drew was a F-16 plane so its in the blood."

The actor who was last seen in Dobara Phir Se believes the hype around Parwaaz Hai Junoon is justified because it will be a treat to watch.

According to Khan, "I try not to have expectations and just concentrate on the work, but the team and the gadgets we have in place for this film make it a very unique project. The story is compelling, edgy, dramatic and funny. And with Haseeb bhai leading the ship, we will be creating some exciting cinema for Pakistan."

Known for his method acting, he also reveals that the film will require him to learn how to fly a plane,

"I am most excited about going up in a flight and feeling the power of these beautiful machines. I feel like a kid! Also learning about the preparations and sacrifices our Air Force makes to make us ready for any battle scenario."

An official date has not yet been set for Parwaaz Hai Junoon but Khan claims it's slated for release, "sometime in fall" this year.
