Punjab Nahi Jaungi has done it, the long standing record of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani has been broken by film.
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani had biggest single day ever for a Pakistani film at 2.7cr and this two year old record has been broken by Punjab Nahi Jaungi by collecting 2.8cr approx.
Film's performance in Punjab was excellent as it kept increasing each day. Film was houseful In Karachi also but still numbers were less than films with records.
In Punjab film has shattered all records on Eid Day Two for local films and it now seems local flavor of Punjab has worked well for film.
Film has exceeded all expectations as three day total stand close to 5.5cr approx and extended Weekend might hit 8cr mark which will be a new record.
In overseas film has created new benchmarks. Will provide numbers from overseas shortly.
