After veteran actors Fahad Mustafa, Humayun Saeed and others made it big in films, it seems our very own favorite and beloved actor, Faysal Qureshi is all set to venture back into cinema in Pakistan. Yes, you heard it right. Although Faysal Qureshi has enjoyed a rather illustrious career on Pakistan television, the actor is now gearing up for his film after a long hiatus from the cinema, under Sohail Javed Films and his own production Faysal Qureshi Films.
In a star studded event in Karachi, Faysal Qureshi and Sohail Javed revealed the title and cast of their upcoming feature film 'Sorry: A Love Story,' in a press conference. The event took place on Friday and was attended by the creme de la creme of the Pakistani film and television industry including Humayun Saeed, Samina Peerzada, Fahad Mustafa, Nadeem Baig, Adnan Siddiqui, Mansha Pasha, Javed Sheikh, Abdullah Kadwani, Ahsan Rahim, and many more.
Sorry: A Love Story by SJ Films and Faysal Qureshi Films will be a romantic drama and will be directed by Sohail Javed. The story of the film has been co-written by Sohail Javed himself along with Khaani famed writer Asma Nabeel. According to a statement by Faysal Qureshi, 'Sorry: A Love Story' is about the ups and downs of love, finding love, losing it, and finding it again.
The film will star Aamina Sheikh who has already debuted in the hit film Cake, Sonya Hussyn, who last did Imran Malik's Azaadi, Faysal Quraishi, and Zahid Ahmed, who before his Netflix original, will make his debut on the Pakistani silver screen. While the four actors take the lead, the film will also have a number of notable actors form the entertainment industry in the supporting cast.
As far as music is concerned, Faysal Qureshi and SJ has roped in renowned musician Abbasi Ali Khan for the film's score along with the best musicians in the industry for the album. Sorry: A Love Story is all set to go on the floors in early 2019 with a release slated for the same year as well.
The film will be shot in Pakistan and internationally as well.
