Almost a decade has passed since the release of Waar but the film seems to have left an indelible mark on the local movie industry. The film that hit the screens on Eidul Azha in 2013 is credited with having changed the landscape of Pakistani cinema.
Waar, directed by Bilal Lashari and produced and written by Rana, became one of the highest-grossing films of Pakistani cinema and won several awards, including those for ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Actor’ at last year’s ARY Film Awards. It was said to be the most expensive Pakistani film ever to be made
Now, Waar’s sequel, was earlier announced in December 2015 the year of its release, but we got no news. We heard the shoot was going on in the United Kingdom.
And now, We have some good news for the 'Waar' fans! After a brilliant masterpiece of a movie, Shaan Shahid has been dropping hints at the fans of the sequel and everybody is thrilled!
Shaan Shahid took to his twitter to ask for opinions on 'Waar 2' while also mentioning it was one of its kind and many were eager to know if it is releasing or if its in the works...
We hope there is a Waar 2, at a sensitive time like this, I think we could do with some kind of patriotism especially coming from the powerhouse of acting, the very talented Shaan.
